Candler Park Fall Fest and Tour of Homes

Candler Park Fall FestAtlanta’s very own Candler Park Fall Fest & Home Tour celebrates it’s 15th birthday this year! A favorite among Atlanta native’s, this free, family-friendly event will take place Saturday, Oct. 3rd and Sunday, Oct. 4th. The festival features live music all weekend, a massive, local artist market, quality food and drink, and fun for the whole community! This years’ Home Tour will even feature several treehouses and a truly unique community garden.

Over the years the Candler Park Fall Fest has come to represent the transition of seasons as we welcome the cooler, fall weather. This is a great event for the whole community as it offers a chance for neighbors and families to get out and interact with each other and truly appreciate the park that helps make this neighborhood one of the best places to live in Atlanta! Check out my Candler Park neighborhood page for all things Candler Park.

In honor of it’s 15th birthday, this year’s event looks to provide a new and improved festival experience for everyone. Kicking things off on Saturday morning is the “Totally 80’s 5K and Fun Run” where you can dress up in your wildest 80’s outfits and get that heart pumping or just enjoy the quality people watching. The artist market is also receiving a face lift this year with the help of the Indie Craft Experience (ICE). Explore more of your favorite indie and local crafter’s at this year’s market which is twice the size of last years!

Never short on music, this year’s lineup includes top local acts playing everything from funk-rock to jazz and indie. Say goodbye to tired, greasy fair foods, and welcome to a new breed of festival eats. This year’s food lineup is brought to you entirely by way of food trucks including the popular Fry Guys, Sweet Auburn BBQ, Meatballerz, Yumbi, Queen of Cream and many more. Bring your appetite!

The Candler Park Home Tour will take place on Sunday from 12-6pm. Showcasing a wide variety of homes from renovated bungalows and new construction homes to Mary Lin Elementary and the community garden at Mulberry Fields complete with organic produce, chickens and goats. They even have a selection of unique treehouses that might offer inspiration for your own backyard project.
