About Virginia Highland
Virginia Highland is located just south of Morningside, east of Midtown and west of Druid Hills, minutes from Buckhead, Midtown and Downtown. This quintessential, in-town neighborhood is busting at the seams with charm and style! The well renowned shopping, dining and nightlife district provides Va-Hi with a unique, artsy and upbeat vibe that locals resonate with and tourists are attracted to. A historic neighborhood, Virginia Highland gets its namesake from the intersection of North Highland and Virginia Ave. Situated in Midtown’s backyard, residents are provided with all the access to the city, and all the benefits of a tight-knit community. Its top-rated school system, active lifestyle, kid-friendly environment, and proximity to so much culture make this one of the most attractive neighborhoods in Atlanta. Originally designed as a streetcar suburb, the winding, tree-lined streets make it one of Atlanta’s most walkable neighborhoods! Voted “Favorite Neighborhood Overall” by Atlanta Magazine and “Best Walkable Neighborhood” by Creative Loafing!
Craftsman bungalows and Tudor Revival cottages make up the bulk of the housing stock along with some new construction scattered throughout. White picket fences and old growth trees line these pleasant streets. Towards the southern side of the neighborhood, nearing Ponce-de-Leon, there are a few vintage two and three story apartment buildings to round out the mix.
