The first ever Old 4th Ward Fall Festival to be held Friday, September 11th and Saturday, September 12th at the O4W park at 592 N. Angier Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30308. This two day festival is a celebration of the surrounding community and its development over the past few years culminating on Saturday night with the 6th annual Lantern Parade.
The festival will have all sorts of entertainment including live music, family friendly activities, and an Emerging Artists Pavilion showcasing a range of art mediums from photography and ceramics to jewelry and hand crafted items.
There will be a food truck rally with ATL’s best mobile eateries as well as adult beverage stations throughout the grounds sponsored by Sweetwater and Svedka. On Saturday, there will a free yoga workshop in the morning and a College Football Sports Bar set up with TV’s for watching your teams.
The annual lantern parade will start at Krog Street Market and wind up the Eastside Beltline trail for 2 miles ending at Park Tavern, Piedmont Park. This is the largest public art exhibition in the Southeast! This free event is made possible by the public’s participation so get your crafting hat on and make a lantern. There are several lantern making workshops leading up to the event with everything you need to make one of your own.
