Pub Crawl on the Atlanta Beltline 2015

pub crawl on the beltlineIt’s that time of year again, the Pub Crawl on the Atlanta Beltline will be held on Saturday, December 12th 2015. The event will start at 1:00pm and end at 5:00pm, as if you would have any intention other than continuing to eat and drink! Taking place along the Eastside trail from Krog Street Market on one end and Park Tavern on the other, there’s a lot to take in.

Ticket holders will receive a map of the pub crawl route, a list of all participating bars and specials as well as a wrist band good for 5 complimentary drinks along the way. If you don’t have a ticket, don’t worry, anyone can tag along! this is a great opportunity to get out with friends and family and enjoy the beltline at it’s best.

Virginia Highland Tour of Homes

VaHi Tour Of HomesThis year’s Virginia Highland Tour of Homes will be held the weekend of December 5th and 6th. The 2-day event will showcase six beautiful and unique homes that represent the true character of the Virginia-Highland neighborhood.

Experience the striking architecture and interior design in one of Atlanta’s most charming neighborhoods. Bonus – Local restaurants will be serving up tastings at each of the six Tour Homes! The event will take place from 10am-5pm on Saturday the 5th, and from 10am-4pm on Sunday the 6th.

Goblins in the Garden (Midtown) – The Atlanta Botanical Gardens invites you to bring the kids all dressed up for a day of festivity on Sunday October 25th. The little ones will have a chance to show off their costume on the Goblin Runway, participate in fall-themed crafts and ride a pony or train. The garden’s themselves have even gotten into the spirit of things with scarecrows scattered throughout.

The Atlanta Botanical Gardens, located between Virginia Highland and Ansley Park, are an expansive 30 acres located in the North corner of Piedmont Park. Hanging walkways traverse the landscape giving guests a unique, outdoor experience in the heart of the city. Candler Park Fall Fest and Tour of Homes

Candler Park Fall FestAtlanta’s very own Candler Park Fall Fest & Home Tour celebrates it’s 15th birthday this year! A favorite among Atlanta native’s, this free, family-friendly event will take place Saturday, Oct. 3rd and Sunday, Oct. 4th. The festival features live music all weekend, a massive, local artist market, quality food and drink, and fun for the whole community! This years’ Home Tour will even feature several treehouses and a truly unique community garden.

Over the years the Candler Park Fall Fest has come to represent the transition of seasons as we welcome the cooler, fall weather. This is a great event for the whole community as it offers a chance for neighbors and families to get out and interact with each other and truly appreciate the park that helps make this neighborhood one of the best places to live in Atlanta! Old Fourth Ward Fall Festival and Lantern Parade

O4W Fall Fest 2The first ever Old 4th Ward Fall Festival to be held Friday, September 11th and Saturday, September 12th at the O4W park at 592 N. Angier Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30308. This two day festival is a celebration of the surrounding community and its development over the past few years culminating on Saturday night with the 6th annual Lantern Parade.

The festival will have all sorts of entertainment including live music, family friendly activities, and an Emerging Artists Pavilion showcasing a range of art mediums from photography and ceramics to jewelry and hand crafted items.

There will be a food truck rally with ATL’s best mobile eateries as well as adult beverage stations throughout the grounds sponsored by Sweetwater and Svedka. (more…)

Old Fourth Ward Arts Festival

With a focus on blending the arts and progressive neighborhood with its rich history, this festival is the perfect embodiment of the revitalized community that is the Old Fourth Ward.  With the addition of the beltline and all the development that has come with it, Old 4th Ward is a prime example of urban redevelopment and innovation. Atlanta Moon Ride!

atlanta_moon_rideThe 3rd Annual Atlanta Moon Ride will take place Friday night, June 19th and tours some of Atlanta’s coolest neighborhoods. An event unlike any other, this 6.5 mile joyride encourages participants to wear outlandish costumes, strap any and all things glow-in-the-dark to themselves and their bikes, and howl at the moon! 100% of proceeds go to an awesome local charity, Bert’s Big Adventure.

The official moon ride will start at 10pm and depart from the southeast corner of Piedmont Park, next to Park Tavern. Riders are encouraged to come tailgate early starting at 6pm where there will be food trucks, beer stands and live music featuring Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics. The APD department has agreed to escort the riders and block intersections for a safe, fun and family-friendly event. The ride will head through Morningside and Virginia Highland, down through Poncey Highland and Little Five Points, winding through Inman Park and Old 4th Ward, and back to Piedmont Park taking advantage of the best stretches of the Atlanta Beltline. Virginia Highland Summerfest 2015

Virginia Highland Summerfest 2015The 32nd Annual Virginia Highland Summerfest will take place this weekend, June 6th and 7th. The event is free and open to the public. The festival will include many attractions and be fun for all ages. All of the following activities can be performed with a beverage (or two) of choice in hand as well as a mouth full of food from local restaurants and festival vendors.

The Artist Market features over 250 artists and is quickly becoming one of ATL’s premier art shows specializing in fine, folk and unique art in a range of mediums. There is a 5K road race and a tot trot that will take place Saturday morning (early registration is recommended). The Kid’s Fest will include all sorts of games, crafts and activities, many of which are free. (more…)
